Black Myth: Wukong is an upcoming action role-playing game by Chinese indie developer Game Science, based on the classical 16th-century Chinese novel Journey to the West. The game has been described as Souls-like. The player controls a monkey with an uncanny resemblance to the titular character referred to in the game as "the Destined One" to fight through an assortment of enemies, with abilities to transform into flying insects or a giant monster.

Elden Ring is a 2022 action role-playing game developed by FromSoftware. It was directed by Hidetaka Miyazaki with worldbuilding provided by American fantasy writer George R. R. Martin. It was published for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S on February 25 in Japan by FromSoftware and internationally by Bandai Namco Entertainment. Set in the Lands Between, players control a customizable player character on a quest to repair the Elden Ring and become the new Elden Lord.

I think I can't rate Elden Ring higher than Wukong anymore, although previously for two years it was my favourite game of all time with 1300 hours in. I've been enjoying Wukong immensely, the fights are just pure fun, the mythology is fantastic. It still looks so good like it shouldn't exist at all, especially if you put it side by side with ER which is a visual marvel itself. Now those two games are equally my favourites.

wtf is this? no one is saying the graphics in Elden ring are better! anyone saying that is lost. the GAME Elden Ring is overall better. id trade TRUE open world, more mechanics, weapons, spells, items, discovery, bosses, and over all play through, any day, for a $70 game.

I've given a lot of thought about these two games and I can honestly say Elden Ring wins.

However doesn't mean wukong is bad, wukong is a masterpiece but it loses to Elden ring in exploration, atmosphere and the variations of combat.

Elden ring have more weapons, more magic/skills, more places to explore, more things to do, more mobs to fight and have multiplayer despite being a single player game.

That being said, wukong is still a phenomenal game and I hope it won goty.

I believe it’s the smoothness of the fighting and the abilities that come with it. Also I think the bosses just as hard but the fighting styles of the Destined One make it uniquely fun 💯
