You want a funny story by Johnny Cash, it's One Piece At A Time.

60 year old male here. I have never seen either of you before. But your reaction to this song had me smiling from ear to ear.
Will be watching much more of you two in the future.

Get around to "Folsom Prison Blues", "I Walk the Line", "Ring of Fire", "Cry, Cry, Cry".

My father was a HUGE Johnny Cash fan. Throughout my childhood, he would randomly shout, "MY NAME IS SUE! HOW DO YOU DO!" My sister and I would crack up every time. After my dad passed away a few years ago, I could hardly bear to hear this song. But now when I hear it I just laugh at the fun memories. RIP Dad. RIP Johnny.

He actually said, "I'm the son of a bi*ch that named you Sue." It's not bleeped out in the live video version at San Quentin State Prison. The playful look on Johnny's face and the reactions of the crowd (inmates) make that video entertaining to watch as well as listen to.

Give a listen to “JACKSON” with his wife June Carter…for yet another layer of the “man in black”

"I've Been Everywhere" is a JC classic that's probably the ultimate musical geography song.

Johnny was not only an impeccable storyteller, he had a wicked sense of humor.

This was actually the first ever public performance of this song and was recorded at a performance for the prisoners at San Quentin Prison. At the time it was released as a single in England and was a massive chart and airplay hit.

The real genius behind this song belongs to the writer, Shel Silverstein, one of the most underrated writers ever in America. You might also have heard Uncle Shelby's other novelty songs, like Cover of the Rolling Stone by Captain Hook & the Medicine Show, The Unicorn by the Irish Rovers, some brilliant children's books and fine poetry.

Another funny country song is "Uneasy Rider" by Charlie Daniels.

He didn't say "Mother F". He said "Son of a B", didn't he? That's what I remember from the unbleeped song.

The Man in Black is the quintessential Johnny Cash song, guaranteed you'll love it. It's a heavy one.

Guys, thanks for the play. That is an oldie but a goodie. So many fun songs like it back in the late '60's, early 70's. Lighter times for sure.

You need to listen to "Hurt" by Johnny Cash. It's a reworking of a Nine Inch Nails tune, but Cash owns it. It's the definitive version of the track. Recorded near the end of Cash's life, it really shows the pain he's gone through.

The crowd Johnny is singing to are the inmates at Folsom Prison. Johnny recorded "Johnny Cash At Folsom Prison" in 1968 and this was one of the tracks. I wish you guys did live streams. There is so much info out here that your fans have about these artists and these tracks that I know you would enjoy. Plus there's Super Chats to help build up the girls' college fund. Just a thought. May the Lord and Lady bless you and yours.

"Amos Moses" - Jerry Reed (a phenomenal guitarist, btw)

Anything and everything ever done by Tom T Hall.

I'm 70, and grew up listening to Johnny Cash, It does my heart good to hear younger generations appreciate the music I grew up with.
