All people need to know is the minor and major chords in each scale. In every scale there are relative minor and major chords in them. Those are the chords that are going to work in said scales. Sometimes you can differentiate but those are the basis of the scale. If you know the major and minor chords in the scale ur using, u can build a chord progression very easily that sounds good
