CAN COOKING SPRAY MAKE A MOWER DECK NONSTICK? (Tested Results)
In this video, I tested PAM COOKING SPRAY to see if it could PREVENT GRASS from STICKING to a LAWN MOWER DECK. I conducted a DRY TEST with no Pam applied. Documented my results. Then applied Pam under my lawn mower deck. Then mowed my lawn again to see what happened. DOES IT WORK? Will it STOP grass from STICKING UNDER A MOWER DECK? LIKE & SUBSCRIBE!!!

Probably a bit of silicone in both Pams...😂. Didn't think it would work that well. Still it's a cheap alternative to use when storing your mower for the winter! Nice video JB!! Enjoy the weekend my friend!

Thanks for the test, JB! I use Pam on my snowblower to keep the snow from clogging up the chute and the auger area…..works great!

The answer to this problem is UHMV and lawn mower manufacturers aren't going to use it for a couple reasons. First, it's cost prohibitive, second, mower deck would never rust and say goodbye to repeat customers who can change a motor.
If you look up Pavati Boats, they offer it as an option on the bottom of their drift boats to keep them from sticking to rocks in the river. This stuff is slicker than snot on ice, lol.
Your vids have helped me care for my new Honda mower and I thank you for sharing.

Well done JB and great results. Both times that you cleaned that deck - it was the cleanest deck I had ever seen. Perfectly accurate results. Loved this experiment. BTW - "Prep It for Pam" could be the title of your spin off series...I know I would be a happy subscriber to that one as well.
Always grateful for your videos and that you were inspired to do this test for us...and share these results.
I just added Pam to my grocery list...the spray that is!

So I don't know if I'm doing the right thing with my mower. I have a 54 inch Cub Cadet zero turn with a thick welded deck. I don't do anything with the underside in the summer but at the end of the season I take the deck off, pressure wash it and fluid film it for the winter. The top side is always clean and dry. Great video!!

Great vid lol, maybe try goo gone next? Wouldn’t it be smart to paint the underside of the deck with a high temp black anti-rust paint when the mower is brand new to prevent corrosion?

I want to put a coat of wax under the deck and see how that works. I would not even wipe it off after the dry and just let the grass blow off the dried wax. Great vid, thanks.

That sounds awesome, reminds me of when my father was given a great idea from a coworker to put bacon fat on his construction boots it would keep the concrete from drying up the leather. That idea soon went out the window when we noticed all the neighborhood cats following him around 😂
JB keep an eye behind you
Love the vid 👍

I’m picking up a new Cub LT46 soon and was going to use ceramic coating. Thinking about Chemical Guys now though. Any thoughts? Also was thinking about rigging a fitting for the hose attachment to spray Veg oil each mow.

I had to laugh out loud when I saw the title as all Pam is, is a variant of vegetable oil in an aerosol can. If that works you can buy it in a big jug and just wipe it on for less than $5, lol. Why don't manufacturers just coat the underside of the mower deck with teflon...since nothing sticks to teflon.

Could you do a test on whether or not Fluid Film keeps your eggs from sticking to the pan, JB?  🤣

Good stuff, my man!!

Well JB making me now wait to hear it huh? Hmmm 🤔 lol I will say this, it's been a blah day so watching this and hearing it said definitely put a smile on my face..TY 😊 I do have to ask though, I've never read the ingredients on Pam And when I heard you read what was in it my thoughts were I wonder if this would make a good Sun blocker in the summertime from the suns rays lol things that make you go Hmmmm lol..

Thanks JB for having an awesome channel and being so interactive with your followers!! along with taking the time to do these to inform us.😊

Been using Sta-Bil ceramic Pro-Guard.
Works good for clumping.
I only apply once a year.
Still get some grass glue tho. Not sure if anything will stop it.

Spray furniture polish, or Bike Lust bicycle polish, are good for keeping the top of outdoor power equipment shiny when applied regularly… wonder how it does under the deck?

Another great video, Go Bills today.... just picked up the Honda HRX217VKA, any suggestions for coating the underneath of the deck? I have used Rustkote on my HRN and love it, not sure if I should use the same spray on the nexite, thanks in advanced

Last year I used Chemical Guys wheel guard … boy did it work. Definitely going to reapply for next season. I’ve mowed wet grass a few times, yesterday being the recent one, and it’s still spotless under there.

Ol Honda still looking like a million bucks 😂

Instead of coating my mower, I coated my lawn with Pam. Works great! Nothing sticks now.

Super cool man. Just came across your channel since I'm in the market for a new mower. Saw the Toro Recycler Max at Lowe's and I'm wondering if you have any insight on it? I took a look at your older Toro Recycler reviews but this one is quite different. Any chance you might be doing a review on it?
