How? The FSD cannot even avoid portholes and caused my Model 3 to have a suspension upper arm failure. What if the car go over portholes in FSD mode and loses control and cause a major incident and kill someone. Who is at fault? And, there is no rear cross-traffic alert, the Tesla cannot back up by themselves if they get stuck in some situations. OMG. I hope Mr. Musk thinks twice.

When Tesla says "unveil" they mean - like Cybertruck - they will put out a few little demo locations that provide very few rides and lose money. Let's say a cyber taxi could be purchased for $30k, how many trips just to break even on the cost? 4000? Maintenance, insurance, accidents, taxi licenses; Perhaps 3000-6000 trips at $15 per trip? 6000-12, 000 short trips at $7.50. You have to compete with Uber etc. That is a minimum of 8-16 long trips a day to 16-32 short trips a day. a Mix would be 20 medium trips a day or one every hour of EV operation due to charge times. This may be possibe in a few locals like airports; but airports are hard to drive.

Funny how so called 'smart' people think there's a market for things like drone delivery services, food delivery by 4-wheeled 'robots' and 'robo taxis'. Consumers aren't clamoring for those things. Businesses will always try to find ways to cut costs, but consumer expectations are more important in the long run.

So in a few locals; such as airports with well managed traffic; a robo taxi could get enough traffic all day to achieve a possible break even assuming it is offered at a low cost attracting passengers. That means in ideal situations a robotaxi could break even in 1 year and future years would be profit. What would kill profit? EVs do not do well in heavy use; the battery has died in as little as 100, 000 miles; 1 years heavy use. Accidents; if the robot taxis cause accidents at higher rates; then the entire scheme my have to be pulled; or high costs passed on to fares making them uncompeditive. It won't profit most places, Robotaxi needs passengers 20 hours a day.

FSD is good, but... Not without a human 100% of the time good. At least with Waymos and Cruize, a human CAN take over. Not the case with tesla.

Elon Musk will unveil robo taxi? Well that ain’t delivery! His failure to deliver is buildup ever day. His current list stretches back to 2004. That’s 20 years of broken promises. The roadster has been coming ever year since 2004. All he has managed is to create 3 models since inception. Oh and a want-be truck. lol!
