There is an interview from Radio 1 with Mary, done a long time ago. She said Freddie knew he was ill during the last tour, and he knew that was going to be their last.

Freddie knew that he was sick, but he loved being who he was. He was the most loved Singer and Performer in the World. And he continued singing, even though his health was very sadly declining. I'm correcting my mistake. Roger Taylor wrote, "These are the days of our Lives" This was Freddie's ways of telling us fans, how life was, and how life was going to change. But most of all, Freddie most definitely wanted his fans to know, "I Still Love You"
And all of us will always love, miss and remember You Freddie Mercury. 👑

Freddie mannage is last years very well! He retire from live shows with Queen in is peak doing the Magic tour in football stadiums in Europe, he still look in good shape in the Opera period between 1987 and 1988 were he do some small ive performances, later in 1989 and 1991 he still doing music and have the courage to do the video off "these are the dayd off our lifes" sayng goodbye to their fans....

Little did he know it would be his last big performance, it would be a dream come true for him. The first big and also successful crossover, opera with rock music. The best voice in the world sang with him, his songs.
