In Spanish it's just "gine", we don't even include the obstetrics half 😂

Not sure if this was standard thing around, but in my med school/or just my batch mates in general just used OG. Simple as it can get... 🤷🏻‍♂️

In germany people call them „Gyn“. The why is a ü sound. Or we call them „Frauenarzt“ which means womens doctor

In Algeria we say "Gynécologie obstétrique" or "Gynéco- obstétrique" for short, we study in french though
