With Samsung releasing its latest entries in its Fold and Flip series, I thought it best to take a look at the King of foldables and weigh up if it's still as good as it was on debut. This is Android Police's OnePlus Open long-term review.

Just got mine this past Monday, a welcome upgrade from my z fold 4. So far no regrets on choosing this over the fold 6. I absolutely love this form factor!

Great review! Clear, informative, and helpful in making my decision. Was thinking about Samsung but they always slow down in my experience within a couple of months. Glad OnePlus is really stepping up their game.

Lacking a lot of features and software isn't nearly as good as the Fold. It also seems like reviewers have over stated the cameras. I do agree about the outer screen though.

I usually never comment, just watch, listen and learn is really what I'm here for, except for this video.

I've owned the Z Fold 2, 3 and 4. At that point I refused to give Samsung another $1, 800 for basically the same old phone. Plus I absolutely hate the narrow cover display and rarely ever if it all used the phone closed for more than phone calls or to look at notifications.
And then came the OnePlus Open and changed everything. I now have a phone I'm as comfortable using closed as much as open. But let's talk a minute about when it's open. The anti-glare coating on the Open is night and day difference. When it comes to the battery life, that is just comical because I would need to charge my Galaxy at least once during the day if not occasionally a second time. With the OnePlus I can honestly say I can't remember where I put my mobile charger because this phone never ever fails to last an entire day if not longer. The OnePlus cameras absolutely kill the Galaxy cameras. And probably the greatest difference of all in my humble opinion is one this gentleman didn't even mention, THE SPEAKERS on the OnePlus should leave Samsung thoroughly embarrassed! They are a Beast for a mobile device, especially for gaming and streaming.

Now all that it's just my opinion as a heavy daily user but I mostly use it for streaming content, emails and messaging where the extremely large inner keyboard is great, navigation and weather apps, where again the inner screen is great but I have no need for the S-Pen functionality, so if you are using it for mostly business or school, the Galaxy may be your best bet.

I usually upgrade my phones every year but only if I feel there is something to upgrade to, I'm Nobody's Fanboy.

The Z Fold 6 is now $100 more, am I upgrading 😅😂🤣 NO!
I'm not going back to worst pictures, just ridiculously bad battery life, speakers that you can't really even compare, Etc...

I was actually really surprised to see this video as old as this phone is now but I absolutely agree except the new ViVo Pro is damn sure better than the Galaxy lol

The Samsung fold six looks the best out if every other foldable. From the front it literally looks like another regular phone.

Meanwhile you have other foldables with their hinges jutting out looking assymetrical.
