It launched with Android KitKat 4.4 as it was meant to be the launch device for that Android platform version that year.

I had the Nexus 4 for 3 years. Never loved any phone more than that. In the end I dropped it and broke the screen, I was ready to use it for another year since I even got the battery replaced. 😅
