I have used alum for canker sores since I was a kid. Best remedy. You can also get little bottles in the spice section of the grocery store. Even a little one of those is enough for a lifetime.

Alum can be found in the spice isle it is used in pickling cucumbers to keep them crunchy/crispy. It causes the skins to draw up or shrink.
It was also used in douches for the same affect it had on cucumber skins. 😉

another alternative is to put a bit of salt on it. it hurt like hell but it will be gone in a day like nothing has happened! or you can just put warm-hot water in a cup (not boiling water) and put 1 & 1/2 teaspoons of salt in the water. stir and gargle it, if possible do it where your ulcer or canker sore is. do this everyday for 1-2 weeks and it will help a ton. it wont hurt as much

Appreciate this as all my life i've had mouth ulcers (british terminology) and havent ever tried this remedy. If this helps even a little then a big thanks in advance! Has anyone tried this before and if so whats the results

For me numbing pastilles for sore throats were the only things that helped, maybe as an alternative. They don't taste as bad, there are even fruit flavoured at times. ❤

Change toothpaste. Used to get them all the time. Hello toothpaste is the one I use. Something without sodium lauryl sulfate. I SUPER RARELY get them anymore.
