According to the British press narrative, Kate Middleton is the respected, elegant, traditional Queen-in-waiting, who has taken to the Royal Family like a duck to water, and understands the weight of tradition hoisted upon her. Meanwhile, Meghan Markle is the arch manipulator, the threat to the Royal Family, who’s led Prince Harry astray. So why has the atmosphere become so toxic? As well as the undeniable issue of race, the difference in their narratives stems from a difference in how much each reveres the institution they’ve married into. Here’s why the fiction of the Kate Middleton vs Meghan Markle feud boils down to a divide between those who play the game, and those who want to change it.

I'm happy to see that they are showing how the press were towards Kate and to bring this back into the spot light. This was at the begining of her relationship with Prince William especially the name calling etc etc from the press. It is easy for people to forget this or not even know what she went through herself. It is not easy being or becoming a princess it most definitely is not all fairy tales.

Plot twist: there is no feud except one small bit of drama that commonly happens when preparing for weddings and ended in a mature manner. Society and media made up everything else.

Neither woman should be compared to Diana, not only because they're their own people, but because the circumstances to each of them entering the Royal Family were vastly different from Diana's. Diana was from a broken household and had barely entered adulthood by the time she entered the Royal Family. Mental health issues and eating disorders run in her family. She had a lot of healing that she needed, and instead basically entered into an arranged marriage. She was thrust into a stressful and demanding environment and she couldn't cope. Let the poor woman rest in peace.

I always thought it was unfair and callous for people to say that Kate waited on William just because she wanted to be 'Royal'...what about the revolutionary idea that she just really loved him and didn't want to let him go? Geez!
