I couldn't be prouder of Atlanta. That wasn't an easy task I set for her with multiple recipes cooked at the same time, and each one was done perfectly! Amazing! [BTW: I sent those recipes with the first package I ever sent containing a recipe box way back in 2021!]

The Chef never does the dishes or cleans the kitchen! That is the deal I have with my wife which is why she always cooks. Great Job Atlanta!

That young lady clearly has 2 great parents that have given her a lot of confidence, self worth and a good natured spirit. It always warms my heart to see young folks like this, it gives me hope for the future. Well done NZ Fam!

Great job Alanna. A bit of trivia. Some people refer to those no bake cookies as “preacher cookies.” They were called that because it is made with things that most people have in their pantry and they’re put together quickly. Meaning if the preacher called to say he was dropping by, they could be made and ready to serve before they got there

Atlanta, I am from eastern Iowa. My mother used to make both recipes and i am sure if she was still with us today she would be so supportive of your drive to be a cook. you are amazing. keep up the great work and never lose your enthusiasm.

Atlanta is cooking like a pro! I can see her having her own cooking show on TV when she is older! She is engaging and does a great job! You’re family is so wholesome! Prayers for health and joy!

As a Nebraskan it’s cool seeing our estranged cousin Iowa getting some love.

As an Iowan, it is fun to watch you make this sandwich. Yes, maid-rites are very popular! I hope you come here! People are “Iowa Nice” and will welcome you!

Atlanta guuurl Ill just repeat what the rest of the comments are saying which is that we collectively as an anonymous audience couldnt be prouder of you and we love seeing you grow up before our eyes. You continue to become better and better in everything that you do like the cooking and the editing. I laughed at your self roast about cutting yourself! Keep it up and youll get so far in life! You have 356K people rooting for you! Like how many other kids get to say that? And youre a business owner as you mentioned (causing your mom to smirk PROUDLY ;) ). Youre amazing.

As an Iowan I can say Maid-Rites are amazing, but never heard of putting any sugar in.

My recipe is finely diced onions sautéed, hamburger added to the pan and browned, and then a can (15 oz.) of chicken broth added and cooked until evaporated off.
Toppings can be pickles, slice of cheese (American cheese usually), mustard, ketchup.

Darlin, curl your finger tips in when cutting to reduce cutting risk.

I'm from Iowa. Great job. 🙂
The family should react to the Iowa Hawkeyes (football team) Wave. One of my favorite things about Iowa.

Could not be more proud of Atlanta for her great cooking and how her family and the US are behind her. She will continue to go far. Congrats Atlanta.

Not from Iowa, but my parents were. I had plenty of Made Rite's growing up. They also have the best pork tenderloin sandwichs. Iowa is also known for corn. Yummy. Such kind people in Iowa.

Edward is right, every Iowan has their own recipe for the maid-rites but also for the no bake cookies. We always had ours with regular potato chips because if any meat falls into the plate, you can use the chips as a vessel. ☺️

We had a MAID RITE restaurant in my Home Town of Trenton Missouri when I was a kid growing up. It's not there anymore but it was still there until I was in my late 20s I believe. I ate there a few times as a kid and one time I remember going there with a coworker for lunch. Trenton is in North central Missouri about 30 miles from the Iowa border.

I was just at the original Maid-Rite shop today and have an old acquaintance with two Maid-Rite shops. Interesting to stumble upon your channel today!

These sandwiches were the inspiration for the restaurant in the old Roseanne series and they described the sandwich exactly as your son did: Sloppy Joes without the slop!

Fellow Iowan who has subscribed for a long time. Thank you Atlanta, this was great to watch. You definitely are natural cook. Every maid-rite recipe can be different. Great job!!

Atlanta is so much more confident with her cooking. It's a pleasure to see how much she keeps growing with her cooking. Keep it up.

When I was girl, we used to have a maid-rite restaurant in Scottsbluff Nebraska, which I enjoyed. But it has since closed down. I live in Western SD and do not know of any here. But once I ate at a Made-rite in Denver Colo. several years ago. I think you can look up the actual recipe on line. It has quite a few ingredients, but worth the effort. The meat has a creamy mustard taste, but pickles, onions and ketchup are added as topping before serving.
