Hey, don't be so flippant about the foam inserts, buddy. They're great for making boxes snug and preventing shaking, therefore preventing seam splits. Respect the foam insert!

Box sets? Exciting! Sitting back, clicking play, and waiting to see 4 copies of the Fantasia box set!

18:50 I noticed Peyton Reed's name directing that documentary. He would go on to direct Bring It On, and the Ant-Man trilogy for the MCU!

And learned on his wikipedia, he directed the live-action segments with Christopher Lloyd for the Back To The Future cartoon.

Sam, according to The LaserDisc Database American Gothic: Fear Box vol.2 - [ASLY1119] was released 12/26/97, however a user has noted that it was probably cancelled. None of the site Shops have it listed as being in stock. I'm cessnaace there too, and my collection is set to be visible to all.

The last disc I bought and received about 2 weeks back was that Japanese boxset release of Dune. Yay!!!! Sadly, mine is missing the OBI.

You and I have almost the exact same taste in movies. I bought that Star Wars box, Dune Box, and BTTF box sets the last time I was in Japan. It didn't have an OBI for the SW box, so I just ordered another with an OBI so the image won't be so blurry. I just watched the DUNE extended P&S version a couple of days ago. It is super sweet! I watched it originally back in the 90's when I rented it from Scarecrow Video (still open today) and copied it to my VHS player. I've bought a lot of LDs, DVDs, Blu-Rays, 4ks, VHS tapes from Scarecrow Video throughout the years. They have a massive selection of movies. I wish I could still rent from them, but they are too far away from my place now. haven't watched the BTTF set yet. Should I take the plunge into MUSE? I guess it depends on the selection of movies available. Thanks for sharing your movies today. I just bought all the Criterion Bond's with the wonderful commentary tracks. I'm watching Dr. No tonight. Take care, Sam from Olympia.

I wish American LD releases had used the high quality jackets that were used in Japan, and that we got the inserts.

@Culturdog
Terrific run-down as usual!
Looks like it's near to completion. Please be thinking of a price. Tahiti and a well-deserved retirement beckon.
QUESTION:
Sam! Could you tell us if "AMERICA 3000" ever appeared on LD?
If so, I've got to find a copy. It is one of the greatest mad films EVER!
Just THINK what it would have been like to be selected a "Peter" by the ruling Choosing Frau!!!
In one scene, just before Tiarra becomes leader, her predecessor enters her hut along with an associate, but as well with a Mini-peter of about twelve years also, and RUDELY throws that clueless poor objecting boy onto her bed! I suppose a darker imagination might imagine what was to follow but, because-not I cannot.
Those Fraus were pedo's, forcing all the chosen Peter-Plugars to do things they might not have wanted to.
(Or, might-have!)
Thank you.
