Urban Combatives solo pad training using a slam bag

The slam bag is used in Guided Chaos to work on dropping and splashing energy while striking. I have adapted it for use in the Urban Combatives solo pad drill. The bag weighs between 2 to 5 lbs, and it develops timing, coordination, body unity, hand conditioning and tendon strength. You can also hit with either hand. It's also good for working the timing for the drop step or falling step.

In this Urban Combatives drill, I'm striking pre-emptively from the " fence " posture, with the slam bag representing his head. The first hit is with a flanking move, followed by re-facing with the second hit. I cycle thru the next few hits using forward pressure or drive to put the opponent on the back foot. Every strike is done with full body weight using the drop step.
