I think Group Policy isn't so good choice because:
- Group Policy will not work if the computers are not located on the local network (for example, remote laptops).
- Group Policy does not give any feedback - whether the installation was successful or not
- Group Policy requires all computers to be in an Active Directory domain.
Therefore, I recommend that you use cloud-based tools to remotely install software on multiple computers. Let see several options:
Action1.com - they have free edition, simple interface and execute actions from the cloud
Pdq.com - this is a good alternative to solve this issue, but they have a pretty complicated interface and no cloud solution.
Goverlan.com - one more program for remote distribution, updating, deleting and auditing software applications on one or more computers
