I searched to see if there's already a video of this for newbie knitters but didn't find one, so I decided to make one. This demonstrates a technique to keep your yarn untangled when knitting with multiple skeins.

I came here as a crocheter with a new yarn hoarding issue but this was a lovely video and I'll know if I ever pick up knitting! :)

You are right there wasn’t a video about this and this is just what I was looking for today. I like to use up single skeins alternating every row making charity baby blankets but the tangling is nerve-racking. This is the perfect solution and thank you.

This seems so easy. I am knitting a throw with only two colours but in 2 borders plus a central block with a two row striped pattern so I am using 6 different balls of yarn. It is driving me insane! I spend as much time de-tangling the threads as I do knitting. I will be trying this method and hopefully my sanity will be saved. Thank you.

I just learned that this method of knitting is called “intarsia”. I am making socks using several different coloured socks. I just love the way you hold your needles. Thank you.

I am currently working on an intasia pattern and the tangle is annoying with 5 colours - I'll give this a try - thanks!

Wow, that's amazing, I didn't know it was possible to knit like that!
But I am suffering a little, due to the fact that I only know how to knit in the portuguese style :(((

Thank you just so much it was driving me crazy when all my yarn was tangling. I've seen other Knitters with like a bunch of little balls hanging off whille they work. Do you know how to do that? Or have a video on that?
