I think the S24 Ultra is a solid choice right now because of its price, and the Samsung video and photo are more consistent!

Oppo did a great job this year but the competitor will be S25 Ultra so let's see what samsung will offer v next year!

i really love the X8 Pro, I even want to buy it, everything seems perfect in this phone (finally), but can you please tell me why it's every benchmark is very low compared to Vivo X200 Pro which has same SoC, it could be within a margin of few percents give or take, but it is way too low, almost 20% low.

Samsung is still surprisingly very good. Definitely not night and day compared to Oppo. Perhaps this might be the first Galaxy phone with such a great camera system for many years.

Hi Grant. Hope you are doing well. Posting this hoping that you would be able to help me with this.
I use my phone a lot. I have an iPhone 13pro. Since it’s almost 3 years old I am on the lookout of getting a new phone. I was eyeing the upcoming S25 ultra and iPhone 16pro. The both falls in the same price segment in my country (India). Lately the Oppo find X8 pro caught my eye.
I use my phones for (a lot of) calls, social media and media consumption (through earphones). I love to take photos of my family and landscapes while we travel. W.r.t the camera I care for good image quality with good skin tone primarily. Color Sience and clicking experience matters to me ad well.
Good UI is important too.
Pls note that I am flexible from the OS perspective. I have used pixels, Samsungs and OnePlus in the past and I get a feeling that the android, especially the Color OS has really become polished.
Kindly let me know if you would suggest the Oppo. Pls share your thoughts.

Oppo wins zoom and clearly has the better color science here but suffers from noise in certain areas (daylight, portrait, video, telephoto) from time to time. So, the Oppo is a hit or miss when it come to clarity outside the subject. Because the Iphone is consistent when it comes to clarity, it overall wins here. You see why the Samsung is in last place. Just overall terrible.

Was going to get Find X8 pro but after watching and seeing that iphone's main camera is only slightly worse at 3X than oppo's native 3X I think I will wait vivo 200 pro to go global... oppo not worth the money.
