Just here to say you should give us timestamps whenever a "violation" is found.
In the latest episode I've had, YouTube staff couldn't tell me why my video was age restricted despite that video content entirely being included in another video that was confirmed suitable for ads.

Feedback - The appeal system needs a serious overhaul but in the meantime, I suggest that after the 3rd strike, a channel is frozen instead of deleted while appeals get sorted out. Strikes are often abused and deleting a channel before things get sorted out is unfair to creators who make a full time living.

We don't need to be trained, we don't work for YouTube, we just need to be told why, specifically. Seems odd that you can create a system that finds a problem but you havn't given that system the ability to express to the creator what it found. It's like going into court without discovery. NOBODY can keep up with all of your rules and you know it.

I've had 14 year old videos suddenly taken down. 14 years no one has a problem. Then when I appeal, they send a message saying they've gone through my video thoroughly again and decided it violates, even though the video is five minutes and they deny the appeal in one or two minutes. The people running YouTube needs teaching, not me.

Hi Jennifer Flannery O'Connor, unfortunately your product Policy training for warnings works with error. You said "If you have an old warning you’ll see the policy training by clicking in the Channel dashboard active warning card.". We have old warning on August 2019, but we don't have the link to the policy training in our Channel dashboard active warning card. So please fix this error and provide us the link to the policy training. Thanks.

Should be applied to false claimants and their accounts as well. They should not be allowed to continue to push false/unsubstantiated takedown requests.

I'm puzzled about why I received a strike on my Shorts video when YouTube allows creators to use music from the Shorts audio library. Despite reaching out to YouTube support and appealing the strike, they repeatedly reject my appeals, claiming it's unclear whether I have the rights to counter the claim. This issue is concerning, as YouTube itself permits the use of this music. Can someone provide guidance or insight into this situation? It's a problem that doesn't seem to be getting addressed.

Years ago I got a content violation for copywrite. the problem everything was my content, no music, no photos, no nothing, it was all mine it belonged to no one else. It would of been nice to know the exact spot in the video of me standing around talking to a camera was a copywrite violation. I do hope YT points to the exact time frame in a video that triggers things like this. Did I just say something in the wrong order to sound like something else? Did I catch something that might look like something else in my video etc. I'm in the middle of the desert talking to a camera and it is a copywrite violation... WHY?

The Copyright Strike system is broken. Just encountered evidence of this my third year in with YPP where channels from my entire niche were targeted with fraudulent takedowns resulting in over 20 massive channels getting terminated or having to make their videos private. Meanwhile the scammers are reposting their videos trying to get views while the original channels are down. The fact that YouTube doesn't verify the identity of claimants and cross check with the material in question AT ANY POINT is so backwards and creates such an unsafe space for creators who have to lose access to their channels and give their personal info away to some scammer on the internet if they want to file a counter to get their channel back.... Do better YouTube....

YouTube needs to be clearer on what the actual violation is

My channel got hacked by Tesla group and after a month of trying to regain my channel, I got a strike due to them. When I addressed this to Google/YouTube help, they said oh well, it will never go away now. I'm finding it harder and harder to stay on this platform!

One of the comments from theVerge I liked was,
"And what about when YouTube gets it wrong, and repeatedly ignores appeals from the creator. Will YouTube attend a class?"

This does not change anything. Allow blocked channels to be reinstated if you really want to benefit creators.

Yeah I have had my channel since 2012. I had never gotten a strike or a warning. I had made a video about getting that thing in your arm so you wont catch the thing. Then YouTube came out with a policy against it. I had marked the video private and never got around to actually deleting it. Then my channel got hacked. After a week and a half, of emotional ups and downs, I finally got my channel back. All my videos had been marked as private. Then I went and started setting them to public. I accidentally set that one to public for like 3 minutes, and I got a warning. The worst part is now the warning constantly show up on my channel dashboard. There is no way to hide it or get it to go away! I just want it off my dashboard.

My channel got a warning last year. I appealed twice but it was rejected twice. I appreciate the opportunity to have the warning removed. I would also like even more specifics if a warning is issued. Even though I still believe the warning I got was a mistake I never got any real clarity on what I may have done. Since no clarity it's hard to know so you end up guessing. More clarity, more transparency with training would be ideal. Thanks

I still have a permanent warning for a music playlist that was flagged for "hate speech" and deleted.

I was never told which video on that playlist broke that policy, nor will I ever be told.

Would've been nice to have actually had a chance to remove the offending video, instead of deleting my music playlist with hundreds of songs on it.

Please give us a timestamp feature where a "violation" is found. Being more transparent would as a whole be extremely beneficial to us as creators, and would alleviate Support's workload. Most of us wish to follow the guidelines, but it's difficult to know what not to do in future videos when there isn't a specific example cited from our videos which triggered the system and marked the video in violation.
