What are Strategic Nuclear Weapons?

Strategic nuclear weapons refer to long-range nuclear weapons designed to be used against an enemy's military and infrastructure targets, as opposed to tactical nuclear weapons which are designed for use on a battlefield. These weapons are considered a deterrent against nuclear attacks and are often associated with the concept of mutually assured destruction (MAD).
