I love you Cass! My house is ALWAYS organized, never cluttered and to the people on the outside, it looks clean. Is it deep cleaned? No. Is it spring cleaned? No. But it always looks neat, tidy and clean. I agree with you…it doesn’t take long to do what I call “quick clean” Quick clean is when I use a swiffer duster to dust. Quick clean is when I use a swiffer mop. Deep cleaning is when I use a microfiber cloth and I get it wet. Deep cleaning is when I get my spin mop out and my bucket and I put, Dawn dish soap and pine-sol or Murphy’s oil soap with hot water in the mopping bucket. I have two cats in my house and two other cats on my front porch. My animals do not prevent me from keeping my house clean. If I’m watching a show and I have chores I need to get done in my home, I use the commercials to jump up and get something done. Most commercials are about three minutes long sometimes four minutes, and you would not believe what I can get done and that 3 to 4 minutes of a commercial. You are correct Cass, I am always in shock how quickly I can get tasks done. Are they perfect? No. Are they white glove inspection clean? No. I do deep clean my house a couple of times a year, but I have found that my method of quick cleaning keeps my house, looking organized, clean, and fresh everyday. There is no such thing as perfect and perfectionism can destroy you start where you are and anything that you put a little bit of effort into is good enough. that’s the message I’ve learned to accept in my brain. Is that quick clean is good enough.

"Keep up so you don't have to catch up." Best phrase ever!!!

BTW...While listening to this podcast, I put away my dishes from last night, washed my dishes from this morning, folded a load of laundry and took a shower. I'd say I did good enough! For now!!

Don’t sweat the small stuff!!
Clean a room in 5 mins. 👏 you are fabulous.
There is no such thing as the YouTube Police knocking on your door saying “Hey Cass did you clean each room in 5 mins?? Handcuff time!! It’s a free service you are giving. I am so grateful for your ADHD help around the house.

Please stop explaining yourself .
Love your work.
You Rock.
I took less than 5 mins to write this. Wooohooo.

“Done is better than perfect” has helped so much. And being willing to do a just a little bit something instead of waiting until I can do it all. Putting away a few pieces of laundry at a time, tidying a few things in the room, wiping clean a few things in the room. It’ll make things easier for future self.

I have been feeling unmotivated and slacking on many things in the house. I watched the podcast and was laying in bed avoiding the start of the day. As soon as you said get up and get something done I grabbed my AirPods and got in the kitchen. Kitchen is now done went through some mail and shredded it. I’m feeling better. Thank you so much.

I like to speed clean during commercials when watching my favorite shows. It's like a race and it's amazing how much you can do in that amount of time.

Cas, you changed my life with lessons like this. I used to rarely clean (so gross) because I believed it had to be done a certain way (for hours). Since I couldn’t do that, I didn’t do it at all. Now that I’ve decluttered, with your help, I can keep my house clean and I gave myself permission to do an ok job, which you taught me. And doing an ok job has made my house guest-worthy all the time. I don’t want to spend my life clinging to impossible standards and giving up on myself. You inspired me, and continue to inspire me, to care for myself and my home and it’s brought so much joy to my life. Thank you. ❤

Your mantra is correct...things in motion, stay in motion, and things in rest, stay in rest. Very relatable and good thing to remember!!

I grew up in a spotlessly clean house. It seemed effortless for my mother. My friends thought we had a maid. For years I was able to maintain a clean and tidy home. As I have aged and acquired health issues, I seem to have lost my motivation, but you are helping me regain my momentum. Thank you.

I love that you genuinely listened to your viewers, hate that it made you second guess yourself. You have been doing this for a long time and know what you are talking about. I started following you when I became a SAHM (7ish years ago - can’t believe it’s been that long) and your methods are solid and helped make this housekeeping experience a joy to me. I can tidy our entire home in 15 -20 mins because I purge and decluttering regularly per your recommendation. When I don’t keep up with my morning and night routines like you suggest it may take a little longer but your system works! When I feel overwhelmed and can’t clean quickly it’s my sign to purge and declutter. When you say you can clean your home that quickly, I believe you!

Part of intentionality is not letting yourself get distracted from the task at hand, getting distracted is ALL TOO EASY TO DO!!! Thanks so much, Cass!❤

As you have taught us, "organize for the space you have, not the stuff you have." Same goes for time & chores. Fit the chores into the time you have. Don't allow the abundance of chores to dictate your time.

Cas, I find you so inspirational and I love the way you keep it real. I always listen to you while I'm cleaning. I'm a single mom to a 15 year old boy, I work 48 hours a week. Work starts at 4 am. and all the responsibilities of home fall on me. To say I'm exhausted is an understatement. I'm definitely guilty of comparing myself to others and beating myself up because other women work and keep a clean house, why can't I? Last month I rented a very large dumpster and cleaned out my garage and 2 sheds. Today, I did a little trash bag therapy and filled 2 trash bags. My house still is not perfect by any means but I'm making progress in baby steps and I owe it all to you! Thank you from the bottom of my heart!

Hi there….your sooo much younger my dear girl….from a lady in her 60+ years [+ my body has complains too] Your sooo right a complete clean is different [and we all know it won’t last] the more people help the less time it takes. I find spot cleaning easier, JUST DO SOMETHING ….l do clean by music a song l love, l put [the music] it on and go …this works for me. Please please all women take time for yourselves, what l mean is take breaks, the whole job is too much. Baby steps, slow but sure, just like the turtle it can work.♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
