HOW TO SURVIVE IN EASTERN EUROPE 😳

These are essential rules you need to stick to if you want to travel to Eastern Europe (and you want to make it out alive) 😂 (relax, im kidding… or am I?)

I’ll elaborate on a couple of these.

Don’t talk about Soviet history. Many countries in Eastern Europe suffered under the rule of the Soviet Union. You’re absolutely welcome to learn about the history and ask questions. But, don’t start running your mouth about communism or Russia, because it might get you in trouble.

Always have cash on you. Pretty much 90% of all restaurants, stores, and accommodations accept card. It depends on the country/city aswell, so look this up before you travel. But, in reality it’s safe to have cash on you wherever you travel to.

The shoes… Don’t ask questions. Just do it. As a Western European I have adopted this trait. So, when you come to my house… Take off your **** shoes… 😂

As someone from eastern europe i can definitely confirm that this is true!! You don't have to carry cash all the time, but I definitely recommend it if you can, just to be safe. The two most important rules are probably
1. Always take off your shoes when you enter the house! (because we will get very angry) and
2. Don't mention the Soviets because none of us like our past and it might hurt us!

Oh wow so many steps but I would like to visit Eastern Europe one day and besides I know nothing about Soviet Union, lol. And I was just about to learn Polish tomorrow.

Nah bro, if you come from a western country don't learn a slavic language, trust me it's very very difficult. I am from eastern Europe, okay maybe not hardcore eastern like Russia but I am croatian so that still counts. 🇭🇷
