The "Kid Stuff" trait is great.. The little amount of money you give them weekly is nothing compared to the starship and the items you get from them.. Absolutely worth it!

Wanted is also cool because those who are after you are coming in star ships which you are able to pick up and own after you kill them.. Super good way to make money..

"Hero Worshipped" - its annoying but if you can zone out on this guy, he will be a good packmule for the beginning.. also he has no personal values and wont dislike anything you do.. if you dont like him you dont have to kill him, just assign him to an outpost. My first outpost was a landing platform for Starship construction with a bounty terminal.. he stays there once I can carry enough myself

Tip about dream home, dont visit it until you have enough to payoff the debt, if you go straight there you will be forced to pay the interest owed which is 500 a week I think and it doesn't even pay down the mortgage. So hold off until you got the credits
