KNOX on high-tech garment manufacturing and visiting TexProcess, Frankfurt

We have just come back from the Techtextile and TexProcess show in Frankfurt, Germany, where we saw the absolute latest technology in garment production from companies all over the world.
At Knox we are proud to have been manufacturing real products with real people with real skill in house none stop for the past 36 years. We visited the show because we want invest further in our own UK factory and design department in order to make higher quality and better made products year and year and increase our commitment to this.
We saw some incredible new machinery and software at the show, automatic cutting machinery, CAD systems, 3D body scanning and automated sewing machinery. Its a real minefield of technology and some of it in our opinion is a bit crazy, and takes away from the skill we and our staff have spent the last 36 years honing to perfection.
However, we now have the task of selecting the correct technology for our brand, that compliments the skills we have and combine hand skill with technology to get a balance that we are happy with and ultimately increasingly make better products.
