After a bunch of year wearing a neck gaiter the wrong way when fishing, I saw a tip about hinging the corners and admitedly I feel like a dumb ass. 😂 I can't believe I didn't know this and I hope some of you can use this tip!

I have just had an What! moment, I have definitely been wearing it the wrong way. I wear mine with a motorcycle helmet and glasses and stopped wearing one over the top of my head due to the problems you described. As they say, "every day is a school day". Thank you for that lesson, much appreciated.

Nice to see this simple thing documented. I do it all the time. For me, it is a motorcycle essential particularly in the winter.

I was today years old when I learned this. Thanks for the tip! I hate scarves so I use the gaiter.

I work at a freezer warehouse and I always go to the washroom every break time because of this issue, always gets into my eyes. This helps! Thank you so much!

For years I've been using buffs and bandanas. Truly indispensable bits of gear. I'm from the north and I concur with you on the cold.

As a skier, I can agree with this. Instead of wearing a hat, I just pull the top of the gaiter down until it is on my eyebrows partially. I take the slack to the corners, triangle fold and tuck them in. The ski goggles cover the only exposed parts of your face. Works with or without a ski helmet and protects your face from windburn.

I've been wearing these things for a while now (years) mostly for dust blocking when running machinery outdoors, came in handy during the whole scare of 2020-now because they meet the criteria yet still allow me to breath normal. NEVER seen it done this way, just tried it(wearing one now and that's great! Thanks. Subbed.

One of the most useful tips I’ve seen. I use mine on a motorcycle and that tip helps a lot. Thanks.

Nice and straight forward video, thanks. I was looking for this style for my very first paintball game to avoid getting paint in my hair. Appreciate the time and effort to make this video. Happy fishing mate.

I wear one year round when riding my motorcycle. It makes it easier to put my helmet on, or take it off, it also protects my skin from the helmet strap. In the winter I use a (partially) fleece-lined one to keep me warm, and in the summer it protects me against the sun and more important flies and other little bugs.
Over the years I've collected a good number of Buff's, for different situations. My favorite is the merino wool Buff, which I wear almost year round.

Thanks, I saw this 'trick' before somewhere but forgot how to do it. Great video, straight to the point and found what I was looking for!

They are very versatile. I have about four, thin ones for summer and thick ones for winter. They are just so versatile. My first one had a pull string in one end so it could be closed up and worn as a hat.

Interesting tip, thanks. I only have one gaiter but I have found it's most useful to me when doing yardwork. Weedwhacking and mowing especially. Prevents that airborne grit in my teeth and nose. But---
I did use it this winter when shoveling snow on a very cold day. Was a great help to buffer that freezing cold air when breathing.
Gaiters are a wonderfully protective face tool. 👍🏻
