560 Billion dollars Wasted Due To Destructive Fishing

A study at the university of British Columbia in Vancouver has found the practice of bottom trawling which involves dragging fishnets across the seafloor has wasted 437 million tonnes of fish and missed out on 560 billion dollars in global revenue over the past 65 years.

I'm glad to hear that some places are getting rid of trawling.. It is so sad to see a beautiful ecosystem wiped out instantly and pointlessly due to this practice.
