I lived in Sydney for one year and I visited Melbourne for one week. Even if I love Sydney for the bay, the beaches and the nature surrounding, the most beautiful australian city is Melbourne, without doubts!

Oh wow you are the first comprehensive guide for a 2 months trip to Australia! I am planning a similar trip from January to March and now looking for resources on each individual stop because I can’t find an actual itinerary.

Thank you for making this!

It always baffles me that people are suprised that melbourne gets cold. Australia is a huge place and Melbourne is to the south of the continent. No one expects Seattle to have the same weather as Palm Springs.

Great video. I've lived in Brisbane for 48 years. Travelled throughout Vic in a camper trailer. I now visit Victoria regularly (March, September, Dec/Jan) - base in Ferntree Gully close to the beautiful Dandenong Mountains. So much more to see like The Grampian and the high country. Love exploring nooks & crannies in Melb and love the public transport - so cheap or you hire a car for the countryside. I haven't experienced Vics winter yet!

Unfortunately September is probably the worst weather wise in Melbourne. January to April is the best with March being the standout. The Great Ocean Road is amazing in warm sunny weather. Thanks for the video. Glad you enjoyed.

As someone who lives on phillip island for 19 of my 21 years of life, I can tell you that phillip island only see's about 4-5 months of summer weather if we're lucky.

Melbourne is nice and is not a wannabe Sydney or a miniature version of Sydney. It has its own character and history. But Melbourne gets far more rain than Sydney. The stopover in Singapore is a great idea. I've been visiting Singapore since the 1980s. I could gladly spend a week out of every month in Singapore. It's great for just walking and exploring.

People don’t seem to realise Victoria is almost at the bottom of the world. Next stop is Antarctica. It’s no wonder we have such cold weather sometimes. Although what we call freezing isn’t compared to the northern hemisphere.

Am moving there very soon. I hope your guide will be helpful. Thanks.

Mistake I made at Philip Island was to keep gaping out at sea to eentualsea a few penguins coming into shorebnot realising most of the penguins were behind me on land; weren't informed about this by the bull driver.

Whilst I myself live in a relatively nice neighbourhood in Melbourne. The city itself has a number of attractions and the outer parts of Melbourne are also appealing in some respects. However I wouldn't rate it highly personally. Yes it's clean in some spaces but overall the bay is pretty flat windswept and hardly appealing during winter. It's mostly quite flat therefore the views are quite bland looking into the distance. It's a nice place and it kind of depends where you live. I would prefer to live elsewhere.
