Bruh...It seems like there is about 5 minutes of information missing starting at about 5:40 in. How do you get to the terminal command? How do you clone your gitlab info? Where do I download to? The tablet or the PC? And what format? There are like 4 different options to choose from to download. This would be awesome if you could walk us from the time you turn your pc on to 5:42 in. Thanks.

Where's the instruction between 5:40 and 5:41? How do you clone and what's gitlab? What desktop are you using that runs text based? What does cat out mean? What does head out mean? How did you push the file to the device? Wifi?

There's a lot missing that makes this incomprehensible to anyone who doesn't already know what you're doing and, therefore, wouldn't be watching this video.

Just a heads up for folks wanting to buy a fire 7 in 2021: It's locked down - the shown root-method does not work anymore. Also the hardware method that involved opening the case and shorting a pin doesn't work either. All you can do is install a different launcher that hides all the crap. I use my tablet(s) as home automation dashboard. They don't get internet access so I can live with the restrictions. YMMV.

Hey Kris: Very helpful, I’m reasonably skilled technically and may need to watch it a 2nd time. It looks like at the end of the day you’re still running the Amazon Fire OS (a hybrid/customized version of Android). Wondering if that becomes an issue down the road where certain apps in the Google App Store might require a certain version of the OS to run? Is there an option to fully replace the Fire OS with the most recent version of Android Tablet OS?

After watching this video, it would be easier for me to return my Fire HD 10 for a refund, and buy a competing brand of tablet. Now, I understand why the Fire HD 10 is so cheap. Its user interface is nothing but advertisements for everything Amazon and everything Jeff Bezos. It is a piece of crap.
