My personal goals and values are to move out of my parents house, learn how to cook and do laundry, and be financially independent. This is almost impossible with my multi-millionaire STEM Ph.D parents who micromanage my daily schedule as a 29 year old. It's hard to see the point in quitting vaping in the context of those goals when I don't have a bridge towards those goals in my parents house. I don't have social support quitting as the son of a mother in STEM, I have to support my mother's belief system about my failure to launch after graduating from college in STEM.
