Such a hit! I will watch this over and over. Eliza was hilarious and I hope we see her again.

This movie was the best of the Jane Austen themed movies. So good! I loved, loved, loved it (probably more than Lost in Austen or Austenland).
I loved the breaking of the 4th wall, and all the modern phrases, especially the "It's me, hi. I'm the problem, it's me" line when Harriet was praying. So funny! 😂
Eliza Bennett was incredible. I also liked the rasp in her voice.
Such a creative story. Kudos to Hallmark for thinking outside of the box.
10 out of 10 🎉

Sarah Ferguson is a producer in this movie-so double paycheck? 😮😅

Eliza Bennett was in Dynasty-she is fantastic.

Your nitpicky about the War of 1812 was my main one. 😅 and the Byron quote. 😊

The acting in this was fantastic. The costumes and music were phenomenal.

Unfortunately, I am not a fan of Lost In Austen (deeply hate-I think it is because of lead female? I cannot exactly explain why) -so I am in the middle of this.

But, I am SO HAPPY so many people have enjoyed this. I will rewatch later in the year.

March only has 2 nee movies (and premiere 2 HMM on HC-Guiding Emily, and Come Fly With Me and 1 fashion show mystery. They will have more regular schedule in April.

Hey, greetings to you both. I do not think my other comment posted. Just wanted to thank you for this video even though I did not see the movie. It’s just great to see John smiling and continuing to expand. I’m still awaiting the day when I can come visit and finally meet your soulmate. Many blessings to you both and keep up the great work. ❤

This was fun and smart, which is surprising considering the writer's previous credits. Photography and design was great too. Also pleasantly surprised since I saw some of the early comments before I watched it. Really beginning to wonder about the fans - they have no sense of humour? If it isn't a (usually poor) retread of stale tropes it isn't good? I see lots of negativity towards these more creative movies. Oh well.

Fergie is a producer on this, so she made a cameo. The Duchess playing a duchess, cute.

My nitpick is a scene at the very first ball. Harriet at that point still thinks she's in some sort of elaborate LARP prank, why on earth would she call out Mr Darcy like that? If she thought it was a recreation wouldn't she just play along with Austen's story, which up to that point was faithful to the book? Other than that, really enjoyed this one. Clever, witty and an excellent cast. They should produce more of them this way.😊

If you like time travel, I've be curious what you think about The Way Home. It's Canadian, Hallmark, and time travel!

I usually find a couple or more points of disagreement in these Hit or Miss reviews, but I think I concur with everything you two said here.

I absolutely loved this movie! It was so fun to see how the story got mixed up but still all worked out in the end :)
My one nitpicky thing: When Darcy is proposing to Harriet, there's a reference to Darcy being "bewitched, body and soul." While this is a beautiful quote from the 2005 movie, it doesn't actually appear in the book. Which is a dead giveaway that they didn't actually read the book as closely as most adaptations probably would have 😅 Super small thing but it stuck out like a sore thumb
