I’m so glad I checked the oven cord that the delivery guy put in for me. He did it wrong. Also thank you for the easy explanation of installation of the 4 prong cord.

You posted this with half the steps done already. I needed help with the knockout ring and strain relief

Thank you, I appreciate you explaining that ground strap. I watched other videos that just didn't even show it.

Your video just helped to make my day!!! My old stove was a 4 prong plug wire which all wires matched. My new stove only has 3 wires, missing the green one, I was so confused! Who would of ever thought the green screw under the 3 main wires was for the green wire to be grounded. :)
Very detailed video, greatly appreciated! You even saved me money as I thought I would need a new cord or possibly even a new outlet. Thank you so much!

Thanks so much. I really needed to get this done so my wife could have a second oven before the weekend so we could entertain guests, but it was getting late at night and I was in no mood to figure this out by myself.

Thanks for the video! Putting in a 4-prong power cord, and the metal bridge strap was confusing the heck out of me! 😅 Keep on keeping on, man!

Thank you, your tutorial helped me with my first time ever doing anything electrical, I was able to install a 4 prong cord for my Frigidaire smooth top electric stove effortlessly without the help of my man.

I have no intention of doing this. I just needed to see if there was a difference between a 3 wire cord and a 4 wire cord because my stove died today and the outlet has 4 holes and the current cord has 4 prongs and I wasn't sure a 3 pronged cord would work. So thank you! I'm confident I needed the 4 wire cord so I just paid for it.

Fixed it for $7.99 with a plug from Lowes and saved over $200.00 that an electrician would cost Simple and easy to follow instructions.

Thank you sir. I just wasn’t sure if i needed to remove the bridge because my Samsung manual said to remove the ground screw and then cut the bridge.

May I please ask if the “bridge” plate from white to green ground, is a necessary piece, or does my green wire just need to be anchored anywhere without something connecting white to it??

Please tell me what the milwaukee tool is that you used to remove the nuts? Thanks for the great video!

I knew something was wrong after I inspected what Lowe's installers did to my new range. They connected both the ground and the neutral to the neutral post and left the ground strap connected to the frame. I used this video to verify the instruction to remove the ground strap. I folded mine up and bolted it down to the neutral post in case it might be needed in the future, just like the video suggested. The diagram said to cut it though. They also didn't add the strain relief! And I think they lost one of the 3 screws that hold the cover on. Grr...
