Love my 288XPW. One of the early models, according to serial number was built in Aug 1988, bought it June 2011.

You can still buy these saws NIB to this very day 10/28/21 for around $1250.00 delivered to your front door. Except now they’re ( made in Brazil ) along with the 395xp.

Thanks for the clip! I will be having my 288XP couriered out to me in Red Deer, Alberta. I need to ask my uncle the details about the saw. This one is equipped with a 28" bar. Would it be an 87 CC motor? I'm not sure what year this one is, but it's old and snotty. I heard pre-2000 is good and well built. Post-2000 just doesn't last. Seems that way with just about everything now.
