Can you use Aluminum Foil in the Air Fryer? (FIRE DANGER!)

Can you put aluminum foil or parchment paper inside of your air fryer? I don't recommend using it, because the risk is that the foil or paper gets stuck inside the fan of your air fryer. This can cause damage to you air fryer or can even start a fire!

I think you are testing method is unrealistic. Food is going to be sitting on the foil hence the foil is not going to move it will stay in one place.

I wrap my corn on the cob and my fish in aluminum foil. It’s great. Can’t blow around and keeps the food moist.

Of course the foil will do this without anything ontop, but why would you do that?? Whole point is to have food ontop of it which will weight it down.

I carefully line the outside pan with foil. Air can still flow around and through the mesh rack. I put enough foil so that it can be anchored over the back edge. I press the foil into the star formation in the bottom. When it cools I dispose of everything. A steak can make a huge amount of grease which can be easily discarded.

Well what if you only use half the space so there is air flow or wrap the food in it? Plus I don’t know why you would use an example of just putting aluminum foil in by itself?? I don’t know anyone cooking aluminum foil by itself… you could say oh what if they preheat it I guess but.. usually when people preheat things they have the food holder that has the aluminum on it.. because that’s where the food is being held and you’re gonna slide it in once it’s ready
