Показать описание
JIC fittings are commonly manufactured in nickel alloys, brass, carbon, and stainless materials. These specific fittings and connections are used in most fluid power systems. When the male and female connections are put together, it creates a reliable seal. It’s important to note the three components that create a tubing assembly. This includes the fitting, the flare nut, and the sleeve. The JIC fittings have both advantages and disadvantages but generally they are great components to consider for your applications.

Episode two of Brennan's Fitting identification Series covers JIC fittings. Learn about the advantages and disadvantages, characteristics, options, similarities, and applications of JIC fittings.

JIC and SAE are not interchangeable. JIC is 37 degrees, and SAE is 45 degrees. It has the same thread but a different angle; thus, it will not seal.
