I swear my greenhouse is the only thing that saved my plants this winter, my house averages around 23% in the winter so the extra humidity it provides made them all so much happier 💖

Hey Becca, thanks for the video. Just a word of caution. I had this exact greenhouse a few years ago and I had it outside on my porch. I would be really careful about keeping it out of the direct sun because mine got so hot that it literally killed every plant inside in 1 day. Lol it was a total fail for me. Just a word of warning 🙂

I have the smaller one and I luv it. I put a cordless humidifier in mine and it keeps the humidity above 90%. Hoyas luv it and will grow aerial roots within 1 week.

omg I really hope you get that ikea cabinet, I've been eyeing it to convert into a greenhouse and would love to see how you rig it up with a humidifier and lights!! i couldn't find a single video on how to do it so I'm sure you'd get a ton of views (which could make up for the cost of the project hehe)

Have had that same greenhouse for about four months. I removed the top shelf and the middle support so larger plants can fit. Used the extra shelf to double the shelf below so it is sturdier. Have had no problems at all with it falling apart. My orchids, alocasia and maranta love it! I use a small diffuser to get the humidity up since I live in a dry climate and have a small clamp on fan running all day for circulation. Well worth the price!

I have this greenhouse and it was easy to put together. It's been useful and great for my plant rehabs. You need to use a mallet to secure the poles into the slots. It holds a lot of plants and my humidifier and fan for circulation.

Greenhouses are a plant saver in the winter time. Excellent for high humidity plants. I love it!

DIY suggestion. Yes, with this you will lose some portability: go to big box store and buy the study metal racks. Buy sheet plastic. Cut to fit sides. Hang from the sides with shower curtain hooks/clips or even binder clips. Cut a piece to fit the top. Now you have something larger and sturdier and works the same way to keep plant humidity up. It does not have to be sealed at every seam to keep humidity in. As a matter of fact, some air flow is good to keep mold/mildew at bay.
Watch the begonia carefully for fungus. Stagnant air is the kiss of death to them.

I have that exact Ikea cabinet that you showed and I love it! It has worked great for my plants during the winter! Definitely worth the money with a prettier aesthetic. 👍

I just bought and set up that exact Ikea cabinet(replaced the plastic greenhouse) for my humidity loving plants, and I'd say definitely worth if for the look as well as the price you pay for some of your more special collection.

I use mine for seed starting and love it. It's also good for rehab plants. Just keep it in the shade or use a shade cloth bc in direct sun you'll bake your plants. I found mine at Walmart on clearance for $15.

What about zip ties? They might work on the greenhouse to help make it sturdy.

I have been using this one for the last couple of years. I keep my orchids there until blooming season.

I didn't read through the comments to see if this was already mentioned, but I heard someone mention using electrical tape around each pole where they go into the plastic and that is supposed to make it more sturdy but still can be broken down.

I LOVE your video Becca thank you!! I've had two of these exact same greenhouses since 2016 because every Winter I was losing plants due to my apartment always being cold in the Winter, and scale!! And even though they're alittle wobbly lol, they've been great for my succulents with grow lights and also my tropicals!! I reinforced the shelves with zip ties and I even had to get a fan for air circulation, a heater and humidifier. In the Winter I have them both away from my south-facing window, and in the Spring I place one back in the window and leave the other one with grow lights against the wall!! They are great especially for growing seeds, propagation and keeping my kitty away from my plants!!💖😁

Put saucers or small plates under your plants to make them more stable, ...that is what I do, ...and I wouldn't be with out my little green houses, ...I keep a few jars of water in around really high humidity plants and I leave the flap rolled up and they all do fine, ...so good wishes for your future plants, ...

I have 2 of these greenhouses. Ones a little bigger, but I got one a year ago and the other 2 years ago. Glue would help with the structural problem you’re having but I used a rubber mallet to make sure the poles were really in there. I haven’t had an issue since I got them and have not had to glue them. I have mine pretty packed with plants too so the shelves are supporting a lot of weight. They are not the cutest but they’re right inside my front door, the winters can be bad here, but since they’re so packed I can roll them open in the summer and my porch is really humid and it’s pretty to walk into and see right away

I got this same greenhouse a couple weeks before you got yours. It’s been working out nicely for us in the house. Our plants take turns in it but we mainly use it for cuttings and babies. We haven’t had any problems with it as of yet 😅
