My tips:

1. If you are inside, I do recommend you get out of your building unless if the magnitude is severe or if your far away from the exit of the building.

2. If you are outside, remain there and avoid staying nearby buildings, trees, electric poles, and other tall things.

3. If you are in a car, don't move or get out of your vehicle, avoid parking near large buildings, electric poles and trees. Vehicles are actually a great shelter for disasters like earthquakes.

4. If you're in a public transport your conductor should provide you instructions in disasters like earthquakes. It all depends on the transport you're in.

5. If you're in an elevator, go to a nearby floor immediately, don't stay in the elevator.

6. If indoors if you can't get out, hold ears, drop down and cover yourself under a strong heavy furniture. Remember, I said under and not nearby.
