To be the first white man allowed to participate in their ceremony is epic beyond words. History, legend, legacy.

Les uploads all of these episodes for us to watch for free and there are people crying in the comments about ads.. typical.

It's incredible that you got honored by the locals for your survival. This was an amazing episode!

Papua New Guinea, the last frontier. A heaven for anthropologists and linguists and paradise to virgin rainforest enthusiasts.
My beautiful country.

Honestly, that bit where the two guys approached you with machetes in hand was the scariest thing I've ever seen on survivorman. No joke. Animals don't scare me. Nature doesn't scare me. People scare me.

“Survival, that’s just the beginning, what comes next, Is a step beyond” gave me chills, especially knowing beyond survival is next. I’ve watched these episodes for over a decade now. Seen them all countless times. Wouldn’t doubt I’ve seen some of them 100 times, this show is timeless and rewatchable like no other. Thank you for years of being someone I know I can look up too. Would love to shake your hand one day, just waiting for the time to arise and I’ll take that opportunity. Love ya Les.

I used to watch SurvivorMan as a teenager with my father before he passed away and I’ve always admired you. I spent years practicing survival skills before I went into the Army & still do practice survival skills when I have time my wife always wonders how I know all these things & I always give myself credit but the true credit due was a childhood of watching SurvivorMan & admiring such a amazing person such as Les Stroud. Thank you for a amazing childhood memory with my father it made our evenings each week

As an Australian, we love & thank the people of PNG or as our soldiers called them in WW2 Fuzzy Wuzzies, they helped our men
immensely in the jungle against the advancing Japanese marching south .

Local 1: What's that white guy doing in your uncle Josef's back yard?
Local2: He's high on betelnut playing a harmonica

The active ingredient of the Betel nut is arecoline, a stimulant alkaloid (among others that are present) that stimulates the release of adrenaline, thus giving the numbing and euphoric sensation, and also gives a similar effect to nicotine due to its structure, hence the buzz feeling. It's crazy to know that an estimated 10% of the world population chews these all the time. Big props to Les for trying this!

Damn, that one tribes member at the end was wearing some mean looking shades. I'm thinking a tourist lost them, or they lost a tourist.

The hosting tribe were very generous and kind and apparently well fed being they let Les Stroud go.

Les: "Oh, what's this? Instructions... on how to survive. Excellent" That line is every bit as funny as when I heard it on it's first US airing. Master of Snark, Les! Btw could you please do a commentary for this one?

Les you are a Canadian Legend! Thank you so much for uploading these for our enjoyment. My cousin was a helicopter pilot in PNG and has some wild stories. Beautiful, powerful place.

I grew up watching with my dad. We've seen every episode more times that I could count. It's awesome that you've been putting them up here.
