DRAG RACE LaFerrari v P1 v 918 Spyder | 0-186 mph [Part 3/3]

The final video featuring our WORLD EXCLUSIVE shootout with the LaFerrari, P1 and 918 Spyder. We took the three cars to Bruntingthorpe to film them accelerating from 0 - 300 kph (186 mph). Each car was fitted with Vbox timing gear which started recording when the car left the line, so it doesn't matter if one had a slight jump start.

For the 918 you should have switched to sport mode after ~140 mph.
That would have caused less drag from its rear spoiler. That's what Porsche recommendes at least.

All these comparisons that claim to be completely fair always have one thing in common, doing something to the P1 that isn't done on others. It's either using road-illegal setup, or running tires with more grip than others, or doing tires AND manually reducing the rear wing which gives it a big advantage in the straight line (and big disadvantage in corners) over the others where aerodynamic was untouched. Trusting brits to do an honest test that involves a british car is about the same as trusting americans when they say they'll bring democracy to your country. And no, I'm not a typical fanboy. I'm actually a mechanical engineer with experience in developing several road cars and race cars, I know exactly what I'm talking about, in fact, more than the people who did this test and made the video.
