WOW! I have been struggling to pronounce 'rén' for months! This video helped me do it for the first time! Another method that can also be useful is to say 'shh' (like telling someone to be quiet) but get louder and louder and start to use your vocal chords; it can, sometimes, work very well too!

Man, you really deserves more subscribers. I`m Brazillian and i`ve been through a lot to find a video that could solve my problem. My Chinese teacher pronouce the R with the third way you showed and i was struggling to say in this fashion. As a portuguese speaker, the french R is really better to say.

I find that when pronouncing R sounds try not to move your mouth too much (or at all) when talking.

Wait I never thought of it as the French J before. I just think of it as Y but you curl your tongue and add a little buzzing sound into it (I’m a native speaker)
