In this video, I discuss the best places to buy Bitcoin.

I examine the trade-offs between using a large exchange with low fees, and Bitcoin-only exchanges with slightly higher fees where you are supporting good Bitcoiners, instead of those getting rich from "shipcoin" casinos.

However you end up buying your Bitcoin, never leave it on an exchange or app. "Not your keys, not your coins." Withdraw it and send it to a hardware wallet that you control, like a Trezor or ColdCard.

At the end of the video, I also discuss the pros and cons of buying non-KYC, anonymous Bitcoin.

My exchange of choice has been Newton. I use it for daily DCA’s because the etransfers are quick, spread fee is low, and there is no fee to withdraw to my hardware wallet. Works for me, but everyone needs to make their own choice. Looking forward to Strike in Canada some day.
