Right now 50% of states have Constitutional Carry concealed or open carry of firearms. Very soon another state gets on board. The news won't report this. I'm from the area and its almost impossible to get a NY carry permit unless you are wealthy & connected.

I don't own a gun. But I can read. The Constitution does NOT give the government any right to limit a person's ability to bear arms. The argument that now people will be able to carry concealed guns - WELL ISN'T THAT WHAT THE CRIMINALS ARE ALREADY DOING IN NYC?!

I watched NYC’s Mayor Adams press conference. He made some emotional statements about how he doesn’t want NYC to become the Wild West. I heard this same argument years ago when Utah started issuing carry permits to all law abiding citizens who applied. Well, the gunfights in the streets never happened as predicted by the naysayers. NYC’s problem is that it doesn’t enforce its laws and doesn’t prosecute violent criminals. Since the State doesn’t or can’t protect its citizens, the citizens should have the right to protect themselves. I’ll guarantee that crime will drop once citizens aren’t left defenseless anymore.
