Elbing is a Bad Destroyer in World of Warships Legends 4K

The first Tier 8 Premium destroyer has entered the game in the form of Elbing, the German Destroyer. While she has the destroyer designation, she doesn't really fit the roles of normal destroyers. Check out this ship set up and build guide with some examples of how to get the most out of this ship.

Pop Sims on as inspiration and you're sitting at nearly 33k for a DD. Other DD players should fear Elbing, it's more of a cruiser than a destroyer. I think Elbing is good, however it's torps may need a buff to its speed. Add maybe a heal, but it has 30k hp so it's not really needed unless you're careless. Sure, heals might be OP, BUT its a massive ship and takes full pens from AP from DDs due to its armor, like Khabarovsk. I would LOVE to see it get sonar though considering its not very maneuverable and its rather large. A T8 German DD without sonar isn't good, German DDs are typically know for their good Sonar range. Here's to hoping they'll release a German Legendary ship soon as GK is our only one and other nations now have 2+ ships

Doesn't matter how nasty your aa is at 3km, by 5 km it's too late.

It's good against broadside dummies and that's about it. I've seen far too many of these clips showcasing an elbing wrecking a broadside cruiser, but if people used ap in dds more they'd realize all dds can wreck with ap in the right situation. Nice review, glad to see you actually thinking about pros and cons instead of just jumping to promote it as some god tier dd.

Elbing has been a fun ship, really easy to kill with other dd's ... I dont have it, but not impressed with it at all from what i have seen and what people have payed for it. Its however great at doing very high damage to broadside cruisers. A good dd player can probably do a lot with the Elbing, but so far i havent run into one yet

Yesterday in my teir 8 Japanese cruiser. I was like 1/2 health and an Elbing cleaned me out in 2 salvos. I wasn't even broad side. I was like wth is that. I got 2 rounds off from my front guns and barely did anything. AP is a monster.

any ships specially DD with under 40 knts is not good - you rely on luck, and if so happen you face with skilled A. Summer or Delny Lol good luck :D WG will say thanks for your 20k doubs which is good lets support this game so they continue improve (wishing)
