MIT has an endowment of $27 BILLION — that's billion, with a 'B'. They should not be exploiting teachers who are interacting with thousands of their students and help make MIT the great university that it is.

I stand in solidarity with the MIT Graduate Student Union working to form a union.

I've personally witnessed the ridiculous work load that grad students face, they are definitely underpaid. They, like most workers in academia, get screwed over by the collective bargaining agreements that the professors have and the absurd expense of the executive level personnel. It's high time they get their own CBA and level the field. I hope they're successful for the sake of all grad students and university workers in this country.
