This YouTube cosmetic dermatologist raves about this product that she basts her face with, puts a thick layer all over her face then 7-10 minutes later it's mostly melted in and saves her face overnight from the really brittle dry months of winter. At least where it snows it gets super dry. It may not get as dry where you are. The product is La Roche Posay cicaplast balm (baume) b5. So it has cica and panthenol in it! She swears by it every winter. I'm getting it tomorrow and I can't wait to use it! I don't need it yet though.

I thought that mixing oil and moisturiser wouldn't work because oil is hydrophobic and so the 2 products would not absorb properly? If I mix marula oil with a balm moisturiser then it would be more hydrating rather than stop the products from working?

Winter. No thanks. We had that once in Texas a couple of years ago. Honestly I was not a fan. Once it drops below 16c/60f we evacuate. 🤣

Oils arent really occlusives, adding an oil will boost emmoliance if anything
