Thank you for this interview she is inspiring. First off I never thought Id be a trucker but the seed was planted when I needed a new route in life. I was drawn to tanking so when I went out looking for a good fit for trucking school Id ask how can you help me or what do I need to do get into this sector. They all rolled their eyes at me and blew me off as if it was wishful thinking. Well I got all endorsements alongside my permit test. Plus my twic and hazmat once eligible. Paid my dues otr for a year running high value loads and hazmat. Once my year was in I applied to every tanker company I knew of which wasn’t many. Pilot picked me up and I was the first woman they hired in my area. Ive been fuel hauling for 4 years and just started training the woman that come on board with us. I love what I do most days lol and hope to see more woman having the courage to do hazmat because not only is it good money but you can be home daily. I spent 5k on trucking school and I regret nothing. Good luck everyone and follow through with your vision even if no one else sees it.
