When I googled nursing shoes, these are the first shoes that popped up. The Atom by Kuru Footwear, but are these shoes made for nurses? Will they last a twelve hour shift? Are they overpriced?

I work as a cook in a nursing home for the past 18 years. As I have plantar fasciitis and work in a kitchen, I needed both good support and slip resistance. They only offer one style, Kinetic, in a slip-resistant sole, but I SWEAR by those shoes. When I'm wearing them, I can get through a workday and still be able to take my dog out for a walk after work instead of having to spend the evening massaging my feet. The slip-resistant sole is REALLY good and I haven't even had any skids on an icy freezer floor. I usually get the black, but the white and teal were on sale last time I needed shoes so I got those, and they are really nice looking. The Kinetic is faux leather and wipes clean easily, and I never have water come through.

A pair usually lasts me between 8 months and a year. (you would not believe the abuse shoes get in a kitchen) They will replace the insoles for free with an order number, which does extend the life of the shoe. For me, because of the pain relief they offer, they are worth the price tag, but if you don't need the additional support, they might not be. (but if you are on your feet all day, DO get the best-supporting shoe you can afford for your particular arches!!! You WILL regret skimping later)

I'm not a healthcare worker, but I work in the produce department of a grocery store, and I constantly get my feet wet from soaking vegetables in a solution, and so far no matter how wet the shoes get, my feet never get soaked. I've only been wearing these for 3 days now but I've definitely spilled lots of water on them and have never felt it soak in to my actual foot

I was a big fan of Kuru shoes and my wife loves them for her arthritis. However, I do not like the Atom and Flux models because they have no tongue and they just didn’t feel right. They feel too stretchy and rubbery on my feet and I don’t like that feeling. I had Quantums which were ok but the toe box looks so boxy. The style I loved they discontinued. So, for now, my wife buys them but I do not. They are excellent quality shoes

I own 3 pairs of kurus and work at a hospital. My atoms are my favorite pair. I have wore my atoms for a year in a half and still no complaints and even in COVID when it peaked. Your feet will thank you later.

These shoes are soooo comfortable. I use Quantum, and I have flat feet, and I love them. I know they're entirely expensive, but I prefer to pay that price than the expensive Nike's that burns the bottom of my feet.

I’m looking for shoes that have arch support but arm somewhat soft I’ve had issues with orthodics I have very flat feet and fused bones so everything sucks for me😂 I’m determined to find something that works for my job and working out

It’s been 10 months since you made the video. Have you continued to wear them? Have they worn well? Still comfortable for long periods of time? Thanks for the review.

I have terrible plantar fasciitis for years I've been suffering. (I have the molded insole, the brace, shots etc)... helps, but I want to switch out my New Balence shoes with something more geared towards plantar fasciitis. I'm interested in these shoes but they cost $200! Do you have any other recommendations?

I think there's Kuru shoes that are slip resistant and able to be wiped off, this specific model isn't that one. But yes there's a Kuru model you would be better off getting. Good honest review bud, appreciate it

Do you recommend this shoes for someone that suffers from plantar fasciitis? That work 8 to 9 hours ?

I'm in health care and just bought a pair of orthofeet shoes. They did not feel right, in my opinion. I'm thinking of Kuru, but is there something better in your opinion?
