Smith Little Torch for Jewelry Soldering Walkthrough

This is a Smith Little Torch or Little Smith Torch. It is used in jewelry soldering, repair and manufacture. I prefer to use this size over the larger soldering torches because it gives me more control over where my heat goes (handy with gold soldering) as well as it is very portable. I like to connect it via flashback arrestors and regulators to small oxygen and propane bottles instead of larger tanks. It is totally possible to connect to large tanks, just a preference thing for me. These come with a few different flame sized tips and are incredibly easy to use.

The #2 tip is recommended to be used with acetylene and hydrogen gas only.

Nice video! were you able to use the rosebud and #7 tip with the disposable tanks? One supplier said that I needed to move to larger regulators and big bottles (vs disposable) to use the rose bud and #7 tip cheers
