4G Dual Sim Smartphones Truth & Settings You Should Know

If you are using a dual sim 4G phone in India with Jio you should know these things. I also clear some of the common misconceptions people have about 4G dual sim phones and the simple facts that you should know & how to set it correctly in your phone using the dual sim options & dual sim manager.

Ranjit, you forgot to mention that none of the market available phones have dual antennae. It's a single antennae capable of catching all the frequency, 2g, 3g, 4g., and both the sim actually share the antennae.
Data connection always takes up maximum bandwidth. So, it's coded in such way, the sim dedicated for data is assigned to the highest band possible, i.e. the 4g band.
Any operator, who has 2g or 3g spectrum, always tries to use the 2g spectrum for voice, as it's the cheapest.
2g spectrum, can carry voice signal and some data signal, where the data is converted to analogue(voice) signal. 3g can carry both voice and data, where voice will be sent in analogue mode and data on digital mode. In 4g, both data and voice are to be sent in data mode.
VOLTE phones has a dedicated hardware in its chip which converts the voice into data, and can be send over 4g network without further processing. Those without VOLTE, use the main processor of the phone, to convert voice to data mode. But this data cannot be directly send over 4g band. So, the app(Like JIO4G VOICE) send this data to another server over Jio network, using phones data connection, where it is processed and passed to the calling number. Thus phones without VOLTE, always need active data connection to make our take calls.

If u don't want to use jio cellular data but need to know who is calling to ur Jio number.Then, just go to settings and forward all calls(when unreachable i.e.,
when u toggle b/w other sim cellular data) from jio to other sim...

Dear Rajjit, one clarification required. When we use both SIM of Airtel and Jio, Can we get SMS from Airtel and Jio simultaneously irrespective of which SIM is selected for calls and Mobile Data.

Suppose on a Jio-Airtel set up on my VIVO V9, when am making a call using my airtel sim my Jio mobile data is going off and when am cutting the call the Jio data comes back again..Why is this happening please Ranjit give me a genuine explanation to it, asap.
