What I've learned is the influence of main stream media. What happened last week was terrible, unforgivable. But then again we have the same injustices happening every day around the world. China, Ukraine, Asia, Africa, Europe, Yemen, Middle East. None of which caught the attention of main stream media and therefore we carry on with our lives as if nothing happened.

Thank you Russel for speaking about this. For a long time, we Africans have shouted from the rooftops about the exploitation of African resources by The West in collusion with corrupt African Leaders. We Africans have always felt powerless and at the mercy of our leaders who continue to offer us to exploitation. That is why Africa remains the richest continent in natural resources but the poorest in development.

Hopefully, a time is coming when the people who benefit from this exploitation (read; citizens of western nations) will stand up and hold their governments and large cooperations to account for the misery and poverty they have caused in Africa. See how The Congo turned out after America and Belgium colluded to have the first democratically elected President Patrice Lumumba assassinated. Just because they wanted to work with the rebels to ensure access to important minerals. Decades later the Congo has never had sustained peace. Minerals looted to The West left, right, and center. Africans have suffered a lot.
Watch these videos if you have no idea what I'm talking about.

Europeans/ Americans, help correct the mistakes of your ancestors by unshackling us from your governments and huge cooperations that continue to exploit us.

I spent a year backpacking around a few countries in my youth I am sure many others have done this, . I am old so there were no iPhones etc but the point is I had one back pack of stuff and it was one of the best years of my life. I gave up consuming animal products three years ago and I never felt better. I have stopped ‘looking round the shops’ never felt better. I watched The minimalists documentary so inspirational. The excess of things is often the cause of disease and suffering so yes I relish the idea of sacrifice but we are so entrenched stuck in this system it’s difficult even if you want to. No need not to do what we can though. Thanks Russell as ever great video clip.

"At the moment of birth, life asks man a question, and this question he must answer. He must answer it at every moment; not his mind, not his body, but he, the person who thinks and dreams, who sleeps and eats and cries and laughs - the whole man - must answer it. What is this question which life poses? The question is: how can we we overcome the suffering, the imprisonment, the shame which the experience of separateness creates; how can we find union within ourselves, with our fellow man, with nature? Man has to answer this question in some way; and even in insanity an answer is given by striking out reality outside of ourselves, living completely within the shell of ourselves, and thus overcoming the fright of separateness." - Erich Fromm

We need more singers/writers/ story tellers, who remind us to use our hearts and not what watch we are wearing or how many stacks we have. I hope peaceful music makes a comeback. The media machine is deff a brainwashing machine but it can be used for good.

The worst thing we can say is "nothing at all"!! Let's all work together! TY Russell Brand, you're educating our minds in a wonderful way to change!

I think your recovery 🙏 & dedication to your overall health is sterling; also, your thoughtfulness & mindfulness to your audience on a plethora of human issues is somber & genuine. Thanks Russell, you're a righteous DUDE

Half of the job is going on for discovery, the other half is having the courage to present the findings. My finding goes directly for a paradigm shift in education. A revolution in education means puting love in the place of fear. Peace and love from Algeria.

You're a wise, compassionate soul. Revolution is seen as a dirty word, but it is cleansing for souls shackled in an unequal, unjust world. I am with you all the way. We are spiritually impoverished, and it will need radical change to change that.

This is precisely what everyone should be watching under such trying times. Thanks a bunch for uploading this, mate!

Russell how do we go about this? A movement... A real movement. Your view has been the only one I have found that is not claiming anything objectively. Love, understanding and oneness is what we need. How can we create this movement. You are a huge benefit to the movement if it exists. We all need a leader with a better wherewithal, a better spread of listeners. Or how can we can we at least create one by ourselves. HELP US UNITE

I’m spiritually impoverished, it will not be much of a sacrifice when I see smiling faces again, in all colors.

Wouldn't it be nice to one day to say "Thank you" to the darkest aspects of our past and present and realise it was just our planet's way of developing into a cohesive, singular being that understands itself from all different perspectives? I think it would all be worth it and we could forgive ourselves if that happens. Maybe we should preemptively forgive ourselves just in case we feel silly in the future.

Just want to say how much I love your talks and the choice of people you interview. You really educate us without being condescendent or ‘know it all’. Plus you hit all the subjects on the head. And I love your wit and sense of humour. You are really brilliant. <3

I personally have no business telling the world to change when I don’t even keep my room clean. If we want the world to change we m us t change ourselves.

What I have learned....be a minimalist, but what you need and find entertainment. GIVE.! No one loses when giving.
