a tip i found somewhere is to (when using slog3 with sgamut3cine) push saturation to like 10-15 within the camera picture profile and not leave it at zero. and then, when grading, it's less likely to break. so, to add more color from the start. i find if i dont do that, when i increase saturation or vibrance in premiere it tends to break under some circumstances. whereas with saturation set to 15 from the camera, i dont have to add so much to the saturation or vibrance in premiere. also, seems to me that in premiere the 'vibrance' slider breaks color faster than 'saturation'.

The a7c is the perfect camera for me. I have had it for about six months and I love it. I wish it had more custom buttons, but other than that it’s perfect. I take it with me all the time now due to the small form factor and get great videos and pictures.

perfect lens for this is the 20mm 1.8: small, wide, great low light, lightweight, bokeh and a dial for the aperture, no oss but with the a7c you can use the catalyst gyro stabilization

Sony s-log needs you to convert the color space from whatever you shot in to rec.709!!! This is why you had color issues! Also if you wanna just add contrast and saturation shoot in HLG-2 with color space set to rec709! Plz like this comment so matti sees it!

p.s. The a7c has gyro data kinda like a gopro hero 7 which can be used the get some awesome stabilization in post using catalyst browse.

YES PLEASE FULL FLIP OUT ON A SONY! wow I'm so over the flip up screws/bars situation on my a6400 (not that I can afford to change cams just yet haha but still exciting!)

For now I shoot on Sony A7 II. And I remember the feeling like you had the "black box" at the end. Legendary black box.

Compared to the A7iii this A7C has a flip screen & the new gyro stablization from the A7Siii. That alone makes it worth it for me. Fits nicely between the A7Siii and the A6500 for example.
