I had to look it up. That’s $241 in today’s money.

Well damn- that was oddly nice of her, people today would destroy a car and drive away like nothing happened

I live in Tacoma, if that happened in Tacoma nowadays you would have gotten your car stolen within the first 10 minutes of being there

Blows my mind how you can have humans who are SO in tune with the people around them that they know when a stranger is in need, and humans who would kill their own child for the insurance money living on the same planet, same communities. I strive to be more like the former set of humans.

This could have been my brothers story because of the coincidences.
They drove from Seattle to Del Rio, TX. Grandmas funeral. So they were on a time crunch. But decided to go South first then East. Dad went East then South. My bros hit El Paso at dusk but kept going down the long lonely hwy. It just happened to be foggy that night. Lots of big deer around. Very scary. Eventually a semi passed and they pulled in behind him. Followed him so they could drive faster than 25. In TX not all hwys had speed

We were traveling through as much as possible. But Dad needed a nap so he pulled off at a gas station. About ten minutes later probably around 2 in the morning i see my brothers speed in. They parked next to us immediately jumped out of the car to hug our Dad, who they had ripped out of the car.
They had no idea where they were, or really the time. They were hauling behind the semi for hours and this station was the first stop he made. They were low on gas, low on money, low on sleep.
Im not sure the odds of finding your father in the middle of nowhere, in the middle of the night, on a desolate hwy but, they should have bought a lottery ticket.
We ate let the drivers rest for a while then headed back on the road. My bros followed us the rest of the way. God answered a lot of prayers that night.

When we were teens, my sister and I went to the Oakland Collisum because *NSYNC had a concert there that night. We didn't have tickets, but we there ALL day, hanging out with fans and Chewy from KMEL. When the concert was getting ready to start, everyone made their way inside, and the radio stations started to pack up, we were just standing there alone. Out of nowhere, this woman was beside us and asked how many tickets we needed. We were shocked and said 2. She ripped 2 tickets off and handed them to us. When we looked up, she was gone, and we never saw her again. They were floor seats and it was the best night!

Unexplainable thing that happened to me:

I was 4 years old and it was Christmas night. I was woken up by what I thought was santa. It sounded like whatever was talking, was talking on a waki talki. They said something like "is this the right house? And the phone number is ____?". The next day, I told my mom about it. And when I told her the phone number I heard, it ended up being hers. I had never known or heard her phone number prior to that and we passed it off as "christmas magic" but now that im older, and I don't believe in Santa, I genuinely do not know what happened.

1. I was desperately broke in college because my loan disbursment was late. I had just spent what little I had to go to the mall and check my account (this was before mobile money), but it was empty. When I got back to my dorm room, I plopped on my bed, dejected. Just then, money peaked out from the poster I was facing. I had forgotten that I had hidden some there when the semester had begun!

2. When I was in high school, I went to a boarding school in the city, an 8-hour bus drive away. Mid journey, a trailer overtuned, blocking the road and causing a massive jam. I ended up reaching my destination at 10 pm instead of 4 pm. Please note, this was years ago in a very unsafe part of town. I didn't think I could go to school because the rules stated that the gates would be closed at 6 pm (or so my 15 year old mind reasoned, they would have let me in), so I decided to go to my cousins house. The only problem was that I had only visited him once and couldn't recall how to get there.
So there I was in my school uniform, carrying a heavy bag and looking lost in a shady part of town. I was a beacon for predators.
A diminutive lady shows up and asks me where I'm headed. To this day, I can't remember much about her features. All I recall is that I was a full head taller than her and sensed no threat from her. So I told her. She smiles and tells me that's where she's headed, too. She takes my big bag from me like it weighs nothing and leads the way. My confidence grows when I realise that she's led me to the right buses. While we make our way, I tell her everything, even revealing that I don't know my cousin's house number, just the unusual door to his house. My stupid plan was to search the whole estate until I found that house. Again, in hindsight, I wonder if the watchmen would have even let me in if I couldn't state the exact house number. Anyway, she asks for my cousins name and I tell her. Would you believe she knew exactly who he was? She even tells me the names of his kids. I couldn't believe my luck!
So, this sweet little lady pays my bus fare, drags my bag to my cousins place (and I know it's the right place because of his weird door), and leaves me there.
When I tell my shocked cousin all about it, he tells me he doesn't know any woman by that name or description. Her name was Angela. I kid you not.

When I was about probably 7 I was in my mothers bed and my dad always read to me and I asked him to get me a different book than he picked out so he went to out libery in the Corner of our Galway and then I saw it a tall white glowing figure I was not scared but felt at peace, that figure could have been an angel trying to take me to heaven because I had bad asthma but it didn’t come any closer to me it felt like that happens for at least 5 minutes but it was probably more like 10-15 seconds I still remember that figure to this day

One day when I was outside doing yard work, a woman driving by stopped to talk. She told me she was headed Texas to stay with family, but was running out of gas and didn't have much money left. I gave her 40.00 (this was several years ago, so enough to fill her tank and then some) I may have been gullible, but I slept good that night. I wouldn't have if I had denied her - I would have been worried that the lady was stranded some where, alone. I still think it was the right decision.
